with Carole Nicholas

Wednesday, October 2, 2019 at 9:30am

Floyd Center for the Arts

220 Parkway Ln. S, Floyd, VA 24091

Using as inspiration the quilts viewed in the Trunk Show of Challenge quilts, and the lecture “Making Fabric Work For You”, participants will come to this workshop with an idea for a design with one of these themes in mind:

  1. “IMAGINE……” (Let your imagination run wild)

  2. “INSPIRED BY _________”(You fill in the blank)

  3. “I DID IT MY WAY”

What I hope to see develop are designs ranging from traditional to contemporary. I challenge each participant to try something different – a new technique or color scheme, include some collage or appliqué, and try strip piecing. Use your personal artistic style to create a unique work! I look forward to see how you meet this challenge!

Registration is OPEN

$65 workshop fee per person for non-members
